ALL Volunteers Must Now Have

VOLUNTEER CLEARANCE
to be in the Building!

Wake County requires ALL VOLUNTEERS to register through a school as a volunteer. Starting this year, ALL VOLUNTEERS WILL RECEIVE BACKGROUND CHECKS. While this is a wonderful thing to ensure the safety of our children, it does mean a delay for the start of a lot of our volunteer programs. At this point, it is anticipated to take 2-3 weeks for volunteer clearance. ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE VOLUNTEER CLEARANCE TO BE IN THE BUILDINGwhether you are working directly with children or not. In other words, we need ALL PARENTS TO REGISTER RIGHT AWAY.

To register, bring your driver's license and a list of addresses you have held (outside of NC) in the past 10 years. Since the system is new, it takes a few minutes to enter your data (it should be retained for quicker re-registration next year). There are several computers set-up for this process in the media center. PLEASE DROP BY ASAP to complete this process.

From Mighty Moms to Hook a Book to the Fun Run to tutors to yearbook to classroom volunteers to your particular interest ... we need volunteers ASAP so please register right away.
